28th-Jul-2006 02:14 pm - The End of Summer is Drawing Near!

I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by. Another season of camps has passed and once again I stand in awe of how vast, powerful, and loving our God is. I have been so blessed this summer by what God has done in my life personally through camps and through seeing what He's done in sooo many other lives that I've had the pleasure of coming in contact with.

For the first time in four summers, I was not a huddle leader. At first i was dissappointed that i would not have that opportunity, but God taught me so much through the various roles that i served in at several different camps. In addition to that, i was blessed with many new friendships and opportunities to see old friends, all of which serving as a reminder to how loving and gracious our Father is.

At leadership camp i reconnected with a former camper of mine who served at another FCA camp and was just hanging out at camp one night because she was friends with some of the huddle leaders. I hadn't talked to her in a couple years but as we started sharing about our lives now, we both shared how we both had significantly affected our walks with Christ. I won't go into the details unless you ask because it's a pretty long story. But to sum it up, after having a conversation with her one day, God placed a strong desire on my heart to do full-time ministry after graduating. So it was awesome being able to share that with her especially since I'm now doing full-time ministry for a living. But even more awesome to hear what God has done and is doing in her life since we first crossed paths.

So yeah if you want to hear more about that, post a comment or email or call me or something, I'd be glad to share that as well as all the other things God has done this summer.

A-MAZING!

I'm so so so thankful to be serving Christ through FCA and pray that He will use me to bless others through it.

For His Glory,

Sooo this is my third week as full time area rep for Prince William and Fauquier. It has been great but very busy, i have a lot to settle into. I definitely won't be settling in any time soon since our first camp starts Monday!!

It's hard to believe that Fredericksburg Power Camp has arrived but we are all very excited, everyone has been working hard, especially our camp Director Lisa Call who is the Fredericksburg Area Rep. Things are coming together quite nicely, we have surpassed last summer's registration number of 268 campers with 283! We're praying that God will continue to show us favor, and that we will reach our goal of 300 campers and that their lives will be impacted for God's glory as that is our summer FCA camp theme.

For the glory, now and forever! Jude 1-24-25
